SIGNALS THIS 170th WEEK

Sunday, July 27, 2008

This  week there were almost 2 Buy signals. But due to the collapse on Friday, ONGC did'nt turn out into a Buy. And Cipla gave a medium term buy signal but became Sell on short term. So for NSEWS it is on a Buy Watch (BW).

Both the indices Sensex (^BSESN) and Nifty (^NSEI) gave short term Buy signals on 22nd but gave Short term Sell signals on the last day of the week. And Volatility has come down slighlty to reach 5.76 which is still relatively high. And so after an eventful week, things have not changed much.

SIGNALS THIS 169th WEEK

Sunday, July 20, 2008

There are no signals for the consecutive third week. And there is just one stock still out in the open. I-flex is still continuing with the battle with the bears and keeping the bulls' flag flying high. It looks like an interesting battle. And market has found a temporary foothold, and is undecided which way to proceed.

Volatility is also remaining not much unchanged for the third week in a row. Probably next one or two weeks will decide how the market moves. But for NSEWS, our medium range outlook for all stocks in our universe (48 as at now ) with 2 indexes and three from NASDAQ (with the exception of I-Flex) is (medium term) downtrend, and is yet to confirm of a turnaround.

SIGNALS THIS 167th WEEK

Sunday, July 6, 2008

There are no signals this week. Only I-flex which gave a Buy signal last week is doing very well. But you may never know, what with all the price fluctuations taking place daily and day to day. It may be noted here that I-flex which gave a Buy signal last week has gained 11% and Asian paints wlhich gave a Sell signal has lost 13% in the past one week. Well that shows how effective Technical analysis is.

Market as a whole is continuing the medium term downtrend and there is still no sign of an affirmed reverse.

Volatility as measure by our own NVF has again gone up this week and has reached 6.36.
